PATIENT ENGAGEMENT IN RESEARCH
CENTRAL RECRUITMENT PROCESS
Patient engagement is central to moving research forward.
The Centralized Recruitment (CR) department began as a research study with spinal cord injured patients at the Toronto Rehab Lyndhurst Centre. Now CR operates across all Toronto Rehab inpatient units. CR promotes patient engagement in research by acting as the liaison between researchers and patients across the hospital. The team of trained Patient Research Liaisons assist patients to explore their participation in research options, and KITE scientists to achieve their target sample size. Central Recruitment provides:

-
Adheres to privacy legislation
-
Supports research best practices
-
Equal patient access
